A Desperately Needed Visit

So, I’m going to keep this quick, as someone very special is waiting! My dad is finally here! It seems like I haven’t seen him in forever, when in reality, it has only been seven months. Still, seven months is a long freaking time.

He got in Thursday, so we spent yesterday going out to my school and meeting my kids and colleagues…and then we had the big ‘meet the boyfriend and his family’ meeting. Its about time…we have been dating for two years, and they’ve never met. At this point, I just wanted to prove that yes, my boyfriend exists, and is not some figment of my imagination. We had a wonderful time with his family, in spite of the language barrier, and with some hectic interpreting on my and Juanpe’s part, we really enjoyed the visit.

So today we are off to do some touristy things, the cathedral, the Alcázar, and maybe some shopping on Calle Sierpes.

I am so happy my dad is here and I can hug him in person. And I can’t wait to show a person I love so much the city I love so much.
