A Quick Recap on a Wonderful, Whirlwind Break

I really dislike reading vacation summaries on travel blogs. The whole ‘I did this, and then I did this, and then I did this’ type article is kind of boring. So I am going to keep this one quick.

I had an amazing time with my dad. I loved showing him the city where I live, and exploring places I had never seen. During this trip, I smiled so wide, and laughed so hard, that both my face and belly were aching. I feel so lucky to have spent time with family, and basking in the unconditional love. I am feeling so refreshed for the remainder of the year.

**The only ‘bad’ moment? Driving up the winding, mountainside road to Ronda in our rental Kia, my vertigo sensitive dad white knuckling the wheel for all 30 miles. Still, this wasn’t that bad, and might have been comedic had we not been stricken with the fear of plummeting to our death in a rental car.

So, here is our trip in pictures. A medium I find much more useful when summarizing a great vacation.

Looks like a fantastic break! I got really nostalgic looking at your pictures of Ronda–I went there when my parents last visited Spain 🙂

It was gorgeous! My dad really hates heights, so it might not have been the best place to take him or make him drive for that matter, but it was pretty amazing once we got up there!

Looks like you had a lovely time! Sometimes having a piece of home come visit you in your new home makes all the difference.

Is the chico in the first few photos the novio? Qué guapo! 🙂

Yeah, seeing family was definitely refreshing, after I had hit that sort of mid year low. We had a wonderful time. And yes, that is the novio…I like to think he is quite guapo but he protests whenever I tell him so 😛

  3. looks like a great trip! and it’s funny how I dont think ive ever seen a bad photo of Ronda, it’s stunning 🙂

I agree! Ronda always seems beautiful in photos. I, however, do not have a camera (it broke 😦 ) and so I have been stealing all my dad’s photos and taking full credit for them. He got some great shots!
